Apartment design in Kiryat Haim
A design that creates a pleasant atmosphere, and at the same time creates tension and anticipation.
Design of a new 5-room apartment from a contractor. The apartment was designed for a couple in the 1960s and their two adult children. The planning support started from the “on the paper” phase and included a planning thought for the lifestyle of the couple and their student children who are not at home much. According to the principles of psychology and neuro-architecture so that every place in the house has an effect In the most suitable way for the calm or the energetic, for the concentration and/or the creativity, it was decided to unite the study room with the bedroom and eliminate the bedroom door in favor of a wider space for a luxurious sliding wardrobe containing a TV inside.
Out of a desire to influence the nature of communication with others, the dining area was canceled which was planned in a narrow place that interferes with the passage and flow in the house and instead the dining table was planned in the center of the kitchen and it is also used as a work island in this way, the people in the house will be able to feel and be at their best according to their lifestyle and type of activity.
In the TV wall, which is the “power” wall in the house, an interesting wall covering with a wood texture and turquoise shades is integrated, which creates excitement, enthusiasm, deep thoughts and feelings, with the understanding that the use of this color stimulates brain activity and produces a feeling of depth, peace, calm and quiet.
Along with the inviting atmosphere, surprising elements were incorporated into the space that create tension and anticipation. This is with the understanding that when the uncertainty is released, the dopamine that is responsible for the feeling of pleasure is also released. For this reason, in the area that was supposed to be used as the dining area, we created a foyer which, with the help of unique complementary furniture items, also serves as a decorative and functional item and creates a buffer that enhances the visitors’ sense of curiosity.
