Penthouse apartment design in Haifa
A design that creates a pleasant, calm, quiet and peaceful atmosphere
The design of a two-story penthouse apartment overlooking the sea where a couple and their two adult children live. The apartment, which is spread over two floors, is divided into a public space – a living room and a very small kitchen and 3 stairs leading to the middle level of a bedroom and study, and above them the attic. The tenants wanted to replace the flooring, which was outdated and impractical, and it all started from there…
According to the principles of psychology and neuro-architecture, so that every place in the house has the most appropriate effect on the calm or energetic, it was decided to redesign the kitchen, which was designed in a non-functional and unpleasant way.
The kitchen, which was originally very small in area, was slightly expanded at the expense of the dining area and was decorated in white for a clean, quiet and calm appearance. In order to influence the nature of the residents’ communication, the dining table was moved from its place next to the wall where it “took up” precious space and moved to the center of the kitchen, in its place a wall was used In addition to kitchen cabinets and a large and spacious pantry. Knowing that the blue of the sea and the sky contribute to a pleasant and airy feeling, an additional window was opened in the living room wall to allow the entry of the amazing view of the Carmel beach strip and create a feeling of quiet calm and peace.
